The context to first part is that she tries to get into playing more in the local band scene as an escape and outlet from bullying in middle school, but is instead quickly and totally disheartened by the misogyny and actually stops playing bass all together for a while.

The second is an additional scene to the one from And Now I Wear This Ribbon where in addition to said ribbon and assurance that she should join N25, Yuuki also gifts her a new bass.
