I just realized that Blazblue’s plot can be summed up in a simple exchange.

In the opening cutscene of CF we see that the Master Unit is empty, like is alluded to several times in Act 3 of arcade mode. However, when Ragna and Noel enter the Unit in the ending The Origin is present. If Amaterasu was supposedly empty throughout CF, why was it suddenly occupied after Terumi's death and how could it act in story mode (stripping Es of her guardian status, Observing Jin strike Ragna etc.) without someone there?

I wish I had an answer for this, but there really isn’t one as far as I know, although something may have been mentioned in Japanese. I’m sorry I was so late to answering this, and sorry I can’t give an answer. It’s not something I really understood in CF.

So, by the end of CentralFiction, does Noel Vermillion still have the powers associated with the Eye of the Azure, as the world Ragna has created will not be affected by the Amaterasu Unit or the Takamagahara System?

It’s unclear. There are some powers associated with being the Eye (such as being able to locate Amaterasu) that Noel shouldn’t lose, but others that she should (such as phenomenon intervention). Until something is officially confirmed, it’s probably safe to bet that she kept some powers and lost others.

When Nine is explaining her hatred of the Master Unit in story mode, she mentions that it was too convenient that mankind could develop Ars Magus in one year, suggesting that Amaterasu was somehow responsible for it. But how exactly would the Master Unit be responsible for that when it didn't Intervene on the 100 year time loop?

This scene confuses me a little. Nine and Kokonoe both conclude that it should’ve been impossible for her to develop Ars Magus and make it applicable for combat in such a short time, and Nine does seem to suggest that Amaterasu is somehow responsible for it being developed a lot more quickly.

But we know for a fact that Nine isn’t the sole reason for why Ars was so quickly developed. Terumi had a very large hand in its creation because he understood seithr and the Black Beast far better than anyone else. On top of this, Nine had already been researching the subject before the Dark War even began. If anything, Terumi was the God who had intervened in the creation of Ars Magus, not Amaterasu.

Two questions mostly: Did Noel always have the "Murakumo No12" symbol on her chest? Has no one questioned it? I just don't see how she went her whole life without either herself or one of her adopted family members trying to dig info about it if she's had it all her life... Second, which power is greater: the Azure or the Master Unit? They seem to be hand in hand, but at the same time, the Azure seems greater.

Shes always had it. The only time I think its been directly referenced to so far is with Ragna during CF when he lost his memories, and Noel’s top was slightly open at the clavicle. People probably thought it was a swell tattoo or something, because no one else has brought it up to my knowledge.

Azure is the most powerful. As great as the Master Unit is, it can be replaced, but the Azure is a force that cannot be. It’s a little unfair to compare them though, since they work differently.

Do we actually know what the master unit amaterasu and kusanagi are? Because terumi didn't explain in CS and CP. So we didn't actually know the plans that he had... (in the blog we spoke about this, but the game did not explain) PS: don't show BBCF spoilers before we get the american version! Haha (your blog is awesome, and it is kinda strange that blazblue is ending (?))

Amaterasu is one of the three Sankishin that has basically always existed. It manipulates time, and the girl inside writes and rewrites the world as she sees fit.

Kusanagi is the perfect combination of an Azure piece/Azure Grimoire and a Murakumo Unit. It’s capable of killing Izanami and Amaterasu as it’s the “God killing blade”.
