Ask game 7 and 8 👀
i see what you did there... both topics i still lack proper knowledge on tbh so those will be more suggestions for me to pursue further rather than clear answers. but let's see. :]
Name an OC who...
7. Has a physical disability.
I do not have a specific, existing disease in mind yet but Hoole has respiratory issues and generally weak constitution (perhaps weak immunity as well ?), both of which long-term if not deteriorating.
Otherwise I like to play with how the Chimeras' animal selves impact their human bodies. Aaru and Hamelin for instance are both nearsighted, the latter especially has to wear contacts, Antares is basically blind but on account on being a magical spider I don't really show accomodation for him so he's not proper rep. Another example is the idea of aquatic Chimeras like Hina and Vorpal (manta & sailfish) who have to actively, regularly exercise to remain able-bodied on land. Think about how flexibility vanishes if you don't train it, but for them it's walking altogether. There is also Vinyl's "sun allergy" though this one is unrelated to being a bat (they're nocturnal yes but not because the sun disintegrates them lol)
8. Has a mental disability.
frantically pointing at the opening of this post--
But for a start, due to Tragic Backstories a few of them definitely have phobias and/or ptsd (Hamelin and fire comes to mind). Nanook is basically living a continuous nightmare for the first half of Noct and begins extremely closed-off as a result. Hazan is selectively mute though I'm not sure that falls there.
Then you have those like Luca and Sunny who I want to come off as "weird" but whether that's just their cryptic nature or an actual disability underneath is undecided. Remy meanwhile is an easy candidate for ADHD and there's probably a few autists in there too lol
Otherwise, again playing the Chimera card, I intend to have Melba with a lot of cognitive gaps, on account of being a fking flower.
