Ambertale: A Day in the Life of Sans (Part 1)
The skeleton was laying on his bed, sleeping. This wasn’t unusual for him, for he was considered a “lazybones.” In fact, he was pretty lazy a good portion of the time, but he did pull through when it was most needed.
His breathing, originally slow and calm, gradually increased in pace, sweat started beading down his skull. Nightmares of the past weren’t that uncommon either, though to others it didn’t seem he ever had any. He was always so laid back and joking that the possibility of him having bad dreams was impossible to comprehend.
The nightmare was a reoccurring one. Identical each time. And every time it was just as terrifying.
It was back during the war, when Sans was just 4, almost 5 and Papyrus was the same. Their home was fine before the bomb struck it. Their family was happy and together before the fires, the destruction, the death.
He was trapped underneath some rubble, the remains of the family home crushing him to the point he thought that he would die like this rather than the epic way he and his brother had always dreamed of. In fact, he could feel life slipping through his grasp like sand.
Just when everything started fading away and Sans’s mind began slipping away into a blissful void, he heard a faint voice piercing through the fading screams. Calling his name...
