I have founded an indie games studio, @ambertailgames!  Here’s the first peek of what we’re working on: AMBERTALE A cosy, shop management/social sim- with dinosaurs 🦖💛 Set up a shop in a quaint village, craft items & befriend a cast of cute prehistoric creatures. The game will include a cast of prehistoric creatures from different eras, all with unique personalities and occupations! By the way, I've got CORE downloaded on my phone rn and have been reading it during coffee breaks at work, and chapters 36-37 kind of made my day recently, not sure exactly why. Just that right combination of absurdly funny + quietly beautiful you're really good at. I love Gaster singing specific songs to summon weapons (but WHICH Kyrie?), and, as always, your take of "scattered across space + time." Also listen to the doctor, Gaster. And what did you do to the elevator.

Well this ask made my day. I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed (and are still enjoying!!) reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it, and I hope to publish lots more chapters in the future. Thanks so much for telling me! 

Good question on the Kyrie!! There are a lot, I honestly haven’t decided. This is a nice arrangement though. Honestly I just love this album, it’s the weirdest thing, my mom picked up two of her albums at a flea market a year or two ago when we were road tripping me up to school. Especially these two songs, I’m looking for the slightest excuse to scootch em into the story somehow. The first one especially is really neat, I love it and I just figured out that the first two words at least are talking about fire. I had thought that Caminus was a root word of Camino, meaning road or way in Spanish, so I thought it was talking about a journey but nope, Camino is a word whose root appeared in Medieval/Vulgar Latin rather late; the actual meaning of Caminus in this case (I think, from very brief Wiktionary research) is from the Greek and has nothing to do with Spanish and has to do with Vulcan’s forge, a fire or a furnace/forge and ?? Greek strikes again yay most confusing root of the root language 

why did this turn into me nerding out about Latin anyways yes thank you so much for the kind words here have a wordvomit about words themselves, it’s late and I’m tired, have a nice week friend :)

Doodling a design for @trifoyle‘s Ambertale Gaster. Not sure what I’ll do with it yet, but very happy with how he turned out! He’s a very unique Gaster (not interested in breaking the barrier, not related to the skelebros, lives in Waterfall with a bunch of cats) so I wanted a unique look for him. Maybe hinting at these paradoxes of young and old, absentminded and contemplative, huge yet falling apart. It’s funny, I was picturing him and drawing him in this monkish habit thing before I found out he actually spent time in a monastery pre-barrier.

(As usual, I’ve been reading without commenting, but I have been laughing so much, CORE is fantastic. Consider this an illustrated comment, I suppose!)

@trifoyle I really really like how Gaster from Ambertale is cool with Alphys just climbing him like a tree and hanging out on his shoulders because he's a freaking giant. Like best friends/boss-assistant relationship ever

I saw a sweater yesterday that said "Fresh out of falalas" so I just had to do this- besides, with how I see Amber rn, I feel like it would either accurately describe him or he'd just say this as a regular ol' joke.
