stupid dead meme i did with my stupid oc
if you put your gloves up against it, you can feel a pulse...
does that mean it's still alive in there?
here's the silly little pikmin wraith I've been holding hostage in my brain.
meet the amber wraith!
for visualization, he's an amber-orange color (obviously) and takes on the form of a wormy fella. his core is shaped like an egg and is a glossy black color with two glimmer (✨) shapes on each side of the egg, with the pointy end turning and twisting around inside the goop whenever he wants to focus on something.
this guy is a WEAKLING. unlike other wraiths, his body can't absorb mass normally since he has ZERO digestive enzymes and he can't quite solidify himself aside from a sort of 'squishy but not goopy' form. that means his core is very very vulnerable.
BUT. he has a gimmick.
piksona garbage nerd stuff
when Beatrice was allowed to stick around Jade and Ken's ship, she'd often be found drawing in the dirt. this was her only form of communication with them besides making gestures and playing charades
after they made contact with the Rescue Corps, she'd spend a lot more time interacting with castaways and learning about starfolk along with other stuff on the surface
here are some of her interpretations of starfolk as time passed by
gen 1 was early on after noticing the similar spacesuits that Dale, Ken and Jade wore, lumping their appearances together into a simple shape.
gen 2 was slightly modified to show that she understood that they were wearing spacesuits and not just the spacesuits themselves. she was able to differentiate them just fine but unable to express herself when wanting to specify someone in particular.
gen 3 was after they met up with RC, and she studied the different features on many of the castaways, now able to specify individuals when communicating.
gen 4 was the final stage of her drawings, expressing individuals as well as showing their unique appearance. this proved her understanding of starfolk, which led to everyone being a little less wary of her as she spent time around the command post
when communicating an interaction she had with a starperson early on, she'd emphasize the difference in size because she didn't fully understand starfolk yet. later on, she portrays them noticeably shorter, but chooses not to make them appear smaller as she gets a better grasp of what and who they are.
the same thing applied when drawing other subjects, ranging from creatures to structures and even some treasures/food.
some unique drawings expressed her more complex memories and experiences.
-the drawing of Beatrice trapped in amber suggests that she recalls being possessed/held captive by the Amber Wraith
-the starperson in her hand shows her being able to locate castaways via the SOS signals when venturing out and offering them to the RC
-the pikmin attacking the bulborb is her simply observing her surroundings and watching nature in action
-the more humanoid figure without her traits may depict the average individual of her kind, reflecting her understanding of what she is herself.
other drawings mostly include basic portraits of castaways she's bonded with and drawings of creatures fighting/interacting.
the only other notable responses that she has to interactions is when drawing the symbol on the Amber Wraith near her, she will be inclined to erase it or ignore it.
hold the amber wraith (not his actual size)
