This is one of my favorite Skybound reminiscent songs I've found. With all of the bird imagery in the season, and the floating islands of New Djinjago... also, the lyrics feel so relevant to Nya at this point in the season. I mean, the first line sets the scene: "Now is the climax to the story" Yes, this is the climax. It is almost time for a wedding, after all.

Nya is clinging to everything scrap of strength she's got left, even as Nadakhan keeps trying to drag her down... I don't know, maybe I'm the only one who sees it. But I really love this song, so it's going in the playlist.
Jay's POV: "Something Blue" by VOILÀ
It's a wedding song with a very reluctant bride, and every time I hear it I am instantly transported to the window scene. There's reference to wishing and hoping the groom dies and that desperation between Nya and Jay that I think really fits this part of the season...
"Are my feet getting cold?" She said "Is it twenty below?" She said There's something I must confess I wish it was you instead
Also, how fitting is it that the color blue is so important? /silly

Nadakhan has been chasing a ghost for really this entire fic... and now that he's got her within his grasp, I think the increasingly high pitched and warbling notes of this song suggest his crumbling mental state. He thinks he's reached the pinnacle...
