I am remembering this necklace I made a while back(on the left) that was inspired by this article on the right. It talks about how Nordic and Egyptian religions shared the use of glass and amber to represent the sea and sun “The juxtaposition of the glass and amber was not coincidence, the archaeologists believe. Particular social values would have been conveyed by wearing the two substances together”. It also shows how extensively these ancient cultures traded and how universal jewelry is.
