Magic Knight Rayearth?

I guess for this one my “obvious answer” and “controversial answer” are one and the same: LANTIS. I find him such a useless waste of space character, and pretty much emblematic of how I found the second season significantly weaker than the first - he just stands around not really having any emotion (literally every other character goes “HE MUST FEEL X BECAUSE THE MAGIC KNIGHTS KILLED HIS BROTHER” but . . . doesn’t DO or SAY anything about it himself) and apparently him and Hikaru are a romantic thing now . . . BECAUSE. There’s zero chemistry between them and he’s fucking two feet taller than her (I personally loved CLAMP’s 90s art style but pairing Hikaru and Lantis highlights all of the FLAWS in their 90s art style), it’s like fucking Skater Boi “he was a boy she was a girl” straight logic that I am becoming less and less tolerant of in my fandom grandma years. 

I JUST REALLY CAN’T STAND LANTIS. Like Zagato is a total tool but he DOES THINGS and HAS MOTIVATIONS. Lantis could have been interesting being his brother and all, but in actuality he’s as interesting as watching paint dry.

I've been suffering through a sinus infection all weekend, and I just wanted you to know that Yuri Hell's Kitchen has been a very welcome amusement/distraction while I've been laying around waiting to get over it. I enjoyed it very much!
