Daendels Favors Certain Local Soldiers
The military qualities of the Ambonese proved so excellent that Daendels favored their soldiers (though these were not Batavian-born Ambonese, but newly imported ones) over the “natives.” From then on, even the youngest boys among the Ambonese soldiers were permitted to wear shoes.
I thought this is pretty interesting haha 👀 Now we know what's Daendels favorite native soldiers lol 😋 I always find it fascinating that he allows local to be his soldiers like boy aren't u afraid that they will turn against u one day 😭 but hey we stan a man that gives j*bs to the locals (in a way it is right?) Anyway, that's all for now, thank you guys n have a great day, stay safe 🌙
