What does it take to achieve martial arts mastery? We asked the cast of Into The Badlands.
“It’s like learning how to dance,” Nick Frost says of shooting the fight scenes in AMC’s dystopian martial arts fantasy Into The Badlands. “Lives are at stake, so I tended not to… can I swear? Fuck around.”
Frost, a series regular for season two, joined the cast to play Bajie, the comic relief of sorts opposite Daniel Wu’s stern protagonist Sunny. The newcomer, who made a name for himself in comedies like Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz starring alongside his buddy Simon Pegg, was thrust into 10-hour days shooting rigorous fight scenes alongside Wu...
Sunny: *can literally kill twenty people with one punch*

AMC’s renewal for Into the Badlands Season 3 came in the middle of season two back in April. The network cited an average viewership of 3.6 million viewers per episode, with 2.1 million coming from the adults ages 25-54 demographic, also touting the series as the #4 ranked scripted drama on cable...
Into the Badlands spends time building a relationship that doesn't exist yet between M.K. and Bajie.
Admit it. You've been craving vast stretches of alone time with just Bajie and M.K. all season, haven't you?
No? Damn. Guess that was someone else.
Either way, that's what we have here in "Black Heart, White Mountain", an hour of television that echoes far superior hours of television that I still wouldn't want to sit through again because they rely on a contrived stock plot - something I like to call The Coma Quest - to pad things out...
