So I was thinking

Memento Mori is a really cool phrase...

Like... in this book I'm writing I wanted this crew to have a saying that they say before they set sail. I mean... just picture it.

The crew is all ready to leave and then the captain announces "Memento mori!" And the crew answers, "Yes, captain!"

Because the sea is a crewel mistress and anyone could die at anytime. So it's just a way to remind the crew that they might die and some have died.

A Man Called Jinx

 Prologue 

 The coffee shop was crowed, expected at 12:30 on a hot Saturday. A man typed feverishly on a machine in front of him, he was completely focused, not letting the bustle around him distract him from his work. He was almost done, he just needed a few more touches to make it complete.

He pushed his rectangle-framed glasses back up his nose as they continuously slipped. He cursed, the heat of all the people packed into the coffee shop was starting to get to him, but he couldn't stop now. He was so close, no, more than that, he was too close to completion to stop. He took a shaky breath, not sure of how exactly this would work, part of him actually prayed it wouldn't. The man enjoyed how his life had been the past few weeks, more than any he could remember. But this... this would change all of it, there was not doubt about it in his mind.

This would change his life forever.

He typed in a few more sentences, and then let out a triumphant shout. He was finally done, all that was left was to type in a few more words, and let the story go free.
