Quetz this time! Been a while since I’ve drawn a background….

I know the foliage isn’t accurate but I was solely going for vibes so I’m not gonna apologize lol

Alternate version and speedpaint under cut

Messing with the saturation and contrast a bit. I plan to print this out and I’m not sure how it’ll look. I’ll probably make a few more variations to test and see what I prefer.

For funsies, here was my initial thumbnail sketch I made for this piece:

As for the speedpaint, I’ve never drawn quetz before so I made a 3D mockup to keep the proportions roughly accurate. Also helped me get a visual on the pose.

Everything else was guesswork as I kinda felt out the piece. Not totally happy with it, but I had fun using the new brushes I downloaded.

Now, let’s see how bad tumblr butchered the quality lol
