It's @tolkienocweek and I've just come up with backstories for two new ocs!
Collas of Ard-Galen (collas: red-gold leaf) is from north of Dorthonion. Her mom is a green elf, her dad is noldorin and sindarin. On her way to visit cousins in doriath, she passed through nan elmoth, where she was enchanted and forced into marriage by a pair of cruel nobles. She was briefly maeglin's handmaiden before he came out as trans, and they were something akin to friends while their time there overlapped.
When Collas became pregnant, she had a sudden moment of clarity and a number of her enchantments broke or weakened. To protect herself and her unborn child she murdered her spouses and set their house ablaze, then escaped to ossiriand.
Collas is aroace, but spent many years under a love spell. Even knowing her feelings were false, she doubted herself, but when at last she found a cursebreaker, over a century after her escape, she was freed of the love that was unnatural to her heart.
When ossiriand became too unsafe, Collas went to amon ereb where the remaining sons of fëanor dwelt.
Amdirellui of Ossiriand (amdirellui: hope triumphant) is the daughter of Collas. She was born at the meeting of the rivers brilthor and gelion, and grew up there. Amdirellui loved to wander, and Collas gave her no restrictions except never to enter nan elmoth, nor doriath.
She went with her mother towards amon ereb, but did not stay there, instead continuing to the mouths of sirion. There she learned to sail, and ended up being one of eärendil's crew when he made it to valinor, but chose to be one of those returned to middle earth.
Amdirellui was the first to bring back definitive news of the quest for aman, and at last reunited with Collas in amon ereb and told the remaining fëanorians exactly what happened to the silmaril.
Collas and Amdirellui went to lindon when beleriand sank, and never even thought about setting foot in mirkwood.
