it is a gentle sound first, a breeze carrying something odd with it, until the vague noise begins to sound like applause. a soft shower of it, blooming into a cacophony, fitting an elaborate performance- except he had waited to find the traveller simply wandering through mondstadt to let him hear his little trick, while quietly munching on an apple nearby.
Music wasn't too uncommon to hear in the land of the wind - if not for the familiar tunes of a Paimon declared tone-deaf bard, then there was another bard letting their fingers play across a lyre. Applause usually followed as well and Aether thought that perhaps he had just become too accustomed to hearing the sounds when that soft bit of applause reached his ears - slight alarm crossing his expression when quiet applause quickly grew in volume. Was this a trick from a vision or something meant to disorient him? Paimon at the very least seemed to be pleased by the gesture, Aether letting his little floating companion bask in the glory of it all as golden hues swept over the surrounding area for a clue.
It wasn't long before his gaze landed on the other, taking in his casual form before asking the obvious. "Was that you?"
