another classic image: Denmark and America stargazing on a camping trip. they’re cuddled up together on top of a blanket out in the open, a little ways from camp so nothing blocks the view. they point out all the different constellations they can see, telling all the different stories behind the familiar ones and coming up with new stories for the patterns they make up. some of the stories they tell are ones that they haven’t heard in a very, very long time. it could easily be bittersweet, but it’s not. not with these two. the air is calm and the night is peaceful. they doze off after a while, and sometime later manage to put the fire out and stumble into the tent. they fall asleep pressed up against each other.
