Chase had asked around to try and figure out where his new charge would be. Apparently, she was quite the wanderer, but Chase told himself that as long as she wasn’t getting into trouble, it would be okay. He ended up finding her along the beach, the description that he had come up with matching her perfectly, at least, from behind.
“Excuse me,” he jogged a little to catch up to her, getting in front of her a ways before turning around and walking backward ahead of her. “You wouldn’t happen to be Amelia, would you?” His smile showed her that he knew who she was; he didn’t really need her introduction. “Name’s Chase.” Stopping his backward gaint, he stuck out his hand and offered it to her to shake.
