Remember that request about makoto's artistic s/o using him as a model for a painting? How about makoto's s/o paintint ON him 7w7. (No NSFW but just imagine putting hands on his muscles xD).
this is kind of a continuation on from this request
A few weeks had passed without incident in your house. You were still painting, yes, but you hadn’t targeted Makoto since the last time - not that he would complain if you did, however… Either way, not much had changed since then. The weather was still far too hot, even for summer, which left Makoto wandering about in as little clothing as he could get away with, no matter the time of day. You took full advantage of this, of course, whipping out your camera every now and again, taking photos ‘for future reference’. He was fairly certain you had even managed to snap a shot of him completely naked…
Speak of the devil. Judging by that tone of voice, you wanted something from him. He prayed it was just a glass of water; after all, you had been organising that ridiculous storage room of yours for the past few hours, and such ‘hard labour’ – as you described it – tended to make one thirsty.
You were engrossed in sorting through some old portfolio files when he entered the room, buffeted by the multiple fans, on at full strength. Your head whipped around when he spoke, and you grinned through the paint brush held between your teeth.
“Oh, good, you’re not wearing a shirt.”
“Shush, dear.” You thrust a sheet in his direction, and raised an eyebrow. “Get changed.”
Makoto loved you to pieces, but he really wanted to know what was up with you commanding him to wear sheets.
The very last thing Makoto was expecting when he walked back into the room was a massage table. You were perched, rather happily, on a chair next to it, preparing a palette with various paints.
“____…? Why the massage table?”
Your head shot up, a mischievous grin spreading across your face as you took in Makoto’s figure. “I want to paint your back.”
“You…” He wasn’t expecting that, to say the least. “… Want to paint my back?”
“Uh,” you floundered momentarily, searching for the correct words, “I mean, on your back, that is.”
“Oh.” That made more sense… He guessed.
You must have sensed his trepidation, for you continued, ushering him to the massage table. “I was going through some of my old portfolios, see, and I found this moodboard.” You pointed to some images sprawled across the floor, and Makoto found himself in awe. They were gorgeous - paintings done, sure enough, across people’s backs; universes, forests, horizons… “And I thought, ‘Hey, my lovely boyfriend has a marvellous back, why not paint on that?!’, and… Here we are.”
Makoto smiled at you, his heart aflutter as your passion shone through. “So… What’re you going to paint?”
You smiled coyly, winking at him. “That’s a secret.”
Makoto was in heaven. You hadn’t mentioned, when you had summoned him, that you wouldn’t be painting with brushes, but rather, with your fingers. The strokes alternated between delicate brushes and harsh swipes, creating a divine sensation that Makoto could only liken to getting a rather odd massage. There had been little conversation between the two of you, but it wasn’t entirely necessary - he was simply enjoying the sensation of your hands against his back.
Although you weren’t talkative, you seemed to be enjoying yourself just as much as he was, if your quiet humming was any indication. “We’re almost done, Makoto.” Your voice was soft, almost as though you were conscious that, if you spoke too loudly, you may shatter the serenity of the room. Makoto didn’t even know how long he’d been lying there, and to be honest, he didn’t really care.
True to your word, you were finished minutes later, stepping back and inviting Makoto to – carefully – get up from the table. Conscious of the still-wet paint, Makoto arose, making sure not to rub against anything that could ruin your work.
“Oh…” He knew you were talented, but this… Was incredible. “Wow.” He wasn’t even aware that such an excellent piece of art could be produced with one’s fingers, and using someone’s back as a canvas, of all things. The painting on his back was a small glimpse of the horizon visible across the waters in Iwami, his hometown. You had worked vertically, so the snapshot was small, but the details- The glint of the water, the grains of sand, the glare of the sun… Makoto was blown away.
Makoto could barely find his own words, brain scrambling to respond. “I love it, ____. I-It’s… It’s incredible.”
Heaving a sigh of relief, you clapped your paint-stained hands together. “Yeah. Shame you’re never gonna be able to shower again, now. Or wear a shirt, for that matter, but hey,” you placed a hand on his chest, raising an eyebrow teasingly, “I’m not complaining.”
“Hah, I might consider never showering again…” He took one more glance at the masterpiece on his back, and wondered – as he often did – how he had managed to find such a talented person to be with him.
“Hey.” You were glancing at him with curious eyes, brow furrowed in thought. “D’ya think you’d be willing to stand still for another hour or so?”
By the end of the day, Makoto’s entire torso was covered – back to front – with a panoramic view of the beach and water in Iwami. Your suggestion of never showering again was becoming more and more appealing… But Makoto just knew that, despite the temporary state of this painting, it’d be with him forever - and, if he ever wanted to see it again, he knew that you’d be right by him, willing to create the same masterpiece – or a different one – all over again.
