Repunkuru: Ainu Overseas

I’m starting a project to tell the stories of Repunkuru, the Ainu diaspora. It’s time to close the book on the story of tribeless “Japanese Indians,” and start recognizing the unique culture the Repunkuru that has been invisible even and more importantly to us.

Check out Oki Dub Ainu Band for music and any books written by Kayano Shigeru. These are great places to start, and they're directly from Ainu voices.

Thank you so much for your reply. I’ll try and get some books soon, and will definitely look into your suggestion for music. I really wanted things, first and foremost, from Ainu in Japan and Russia and in the Diaspora over peer-reviewed and scholarly materials by non-Ainu scholars, so this really makes me very happy!
