America-centrism and American superiority (no not all Americans, yes I love America) is when you make friends with an American and after a month they have still not asked you about your homecountry, language, culture, your experience with America, speaking English, or honor that you're currently in their universe speaking their cultural understandings and language, and that this is neither who you are nor what's normal, proper, 'the only way'. To see other cultures as a sort of bad neighborhood unworthy of attention before coming to the 'real world'. And do you guys actually have running water? Well yes we do, we also have had universal health care for 80 years. Typically present in monolingual, dominant, powerful, superiority-complex 'Island mentality' countries. And I can sing a song or two about that being from good old Germany.
