Tuesdays with "Nettie"
Did my first American Bombshell appearance last night on The Maverick Soul Hour with Tommy Maher, a popular web show seen in 77 countries; Super nervous, but also super honored to be up there with a group of exceptional girls who give back! For those of you who have been asking if I changed my name to "Nettie", I have not! I'm always and always will be Annet Artani. But as an AB, we get to choose a cute nickname, so I decided to use something some of my closest friends call me, that is an extension of my name anyway! So, make no confusion, Annet Artani is still alive and kicking, and in the studio recording an album, and shooting an indy film at the same time.
The American Bombshell experience is something that means a lot to me, because it means I will be using my talent to entertain wounded and disabled heroes. So, you will seeing and hearing a lot about this next chapter of my career. We get to go to hospital bedsides and galas, parades, army and naval bases, etc, entertaining our heroes, who we already owe so much to. And this friday, we will be ringing the closing bell at NASDAQ, and singing yet again!
While entertainment doesn't cure wounds or erase post traumatic stress, it can at least give our heroes an hour to think of something else, be amused, and acknowledged that they are not forgotten for what they've sacrificed. Honoring someone is important, otherwise why would someone do the things they do? To fight for freedom is honorable; to ensure your children live in a safe world is honorable. Its just nice to be part of something like this. Thank you Ali Kat, for letting me join the girls and your honorable organization. I'm proud to wear the uniform!
