Quick thoughts from Brookfield's chapter 8
For this chapter there are a few observations that came to mind while reading it, so here they go:
This chapter makes me wish this book was written with a Canadian content in mind.
2025 really takes a sledgehammer to this chapter. The recent news of that summit (?), conference (?) by Trump and Hegseth with all the US generals stating “We are the Department of War, not the Department of Woke” is silly, cringe, and terrifying.
My experience has been that one is never really prepared for how defensive privileged groups can be.
Am I an oral teacher?
The exercise of the newsprint dialogue is just Twitter with extra steps and I don’t know how I feel about that.
Take care of yourselves and those around you.
