USAmericans need to stop projecting American ideas about race and ethnicity, gender/sexuality, politics, culture, burial, etc onto places that aren't the US.

A 2020 Presidential Election warning: For both the young and older. But especially for the young.
Since we now got only two months left until this highly critical and historical Important election to go. I feel its good to remind some of ya'll yet again what's at stake during this presidential election...Please for all of you young people and teenagers on here who've just hit the age to vote for the first time ever, don't make the same mistakes twice, Ted Cruz and Tom Cotton have literally been considered as new possible members of Trump newly released SCOTUS picks shortlist which are filled with Anti-LGBTQ and Extremist judges. If this doesn't get you guys motivated enough to Vote along with everything else that's been going on within this country or world then I don't know what will. BUT DO ALL OF YA'LL REALLY WANT FOUR MORE YEARS OF THIS SHIT!? Seriously what will take for some of you people to wake the fuck up already and look at the bigger picture of where this nation is heading for; Do you guys including those around my age peers who are in their early-to-mid or latish twenties and those younger do you guys really truly trust Trump with all of your futures for real be honest. Do any of ya'll trust this vile sack of shit who recently also stupidly admitted on recorded tape that he been knew about the Covid-19 virus long Before it gotten this bad within the states, that he lied and downplayed it as well as cost millions of Americans who died from this virus as well as those who will continue to die from this virus lives. Do ya'll trust this man who've taken us out of both the Paris environmental climate change agreement & the Iran nuclear deal (who by the way have restated their rebuilding of nuclear/ uranium programs) which by the way leads me to saying do any of you guys trust Trump with nuclear launch codes?! Everything Trump touches either dies or gets worse, Voter turnout amongst young people under 20 or 25 years or so have always been historical low since a long time...so this time VOTE! like your life depends on it because it truly does alright, please don't let this Orange tinted man completely ruin your Future.
Native American Stipends from the Government
... don’t exist!
I have been long told by my family that Native American households receive like, monthly financial compensation from the government. This is an outright lie.
Let’s me try applying some critical thinking to this myth.
Who benefits? Why?
A racist regime would like to make it seem like Native Americans have an easier time coming by wealth than white folks to instill resentment in white people.
Anybody seeking to further infringe on Native lands or rights would be thrilled for people to think Native Americans were lazy financial disasters
What are some current or potential outcomes of the myth?
Coupled with the statistics of drug abuse and suicide rates on Native American reservations, this paints a picture of idolatrous, free-loading peoples who cannot be trusted with their own governance.
This false stereotype of a rich lazy indian keeps Native Americans from jobs outside of tribal-owned businesses, furthering an employment and wealth disparity
By Native Americans being forced to find jobs within their own community alone, it might make them seem disdainful of white people and businesses (even if they have a right to their prejudice against white people, it may put a further strain on white-to-native interactions)
Believers of the myth will argue that native tribes need no financial aid for infrastructure, education, health care, and other socioeconomic needs
Believers of the idea that Native Americans tribes are unable to govern themselves will call for removal of their sovereignty and forceful reallocation of Native funds
What has been left out?
over 400 tribes aren’t federally recognized, so even if the government was sending this mythical stipend, a large part of Native Americans wouldn’t see a cent of it anyways!
Tribes already lack critical infrastructure that many treaties promised
Casinos are often brought into the discussion on Native American wealth, but most tribes don’t have casinos and those that do don’t necessarily have prosperous casinos. Those that do may not allocate money to households in need, or may use the funds for accessible healthcare.
Where can I get more information on current native financial issues?
Local tribe(s) pages & contacts
Historical treaties
How can I help?
Dispel the myth as much as I can
???
Can- can we just ask the rest of the world for help? I don’t think the US is going to solve this on its own...
Between 1650 and 1900, the global population went up by a billion. Between 1900 and 1950, that number went up another billion. And from 2010 up to today, yet another billion. As many people were born in fifty years as they were in 400. Today, as many people have been born in nine years as in fifty.
The more people there are in an area, the more resources are needed to sustain them. In one town, there must be enough water, food, and other energy sources to allow everyone to live comfortably. If there are not enough resources for everyone in that town, the town cannot sustain all its inhabitants. This has consequences for the environment. To try and meet everyone’s needs, the town will take more and more from the land - more water from the rivers, more timber from the forest, more animals and plants for food. If these resources are taken at a faster rate than they can be replenished, the environment suffers. This happening world-wide. The higher the global population, the harder it is to sustain life on earth. Habitat destruction and deforestation are occurring at higher and higher rates to make room for farms, roads, and houses. Encroachment on an ecosystem harms the plants and animals that call it home. And the waste expelled by these actions pollute rivers and the atmosphere.
We must fulfill the three laws of sustainability. Say them with me now: reduce, reuse, recycle.
