“Aright, aright I’m almost-Gah!” Ducking his head down just in time, Scott felt his heart spike out of his mouth once again as a metallic head went flying past. He felt a bit useless as it stood. While he understood that wasn’t true, after all he was currently hacking into a super genius’ wizard? guy’s super computer he wanted so badly to help in the fight. As it stood though, the systems weren’t as simple as, stick a USB, do a bit of click clack on the keyboard and wander off. Doom’s anti-virus and theft walls were really good. More complex then a simple multi-billion company. So, Scott had to keep fighting through.
He wanted to help the Captain. Then again who wouldn’t? Sure, no doubt the man could handle himself with muscles like that, the guy looked like he could lift a truck, plus well he was Captain America.Still maybe it was a part that Scott wanted to prove himself, wanted to impress, wanted to show he wasn’t just some small town hero and could help. Again, he kinda got that he was showing that by stealing information from a big bad villain, but he still wanted to do more.
Scott refocused himself to the screen in front of him, typing so seriously that his fingers were honestly starting to cramp up again; didn’t help he’s been doing this for almost thirty minutes now. “Finally.” he nearly groaned out, watching as files finished their download onto his USB. “Cap I got it!” he piped out, snatching it out the side of rather impressively large tower. For such an old castle the security and tech it had was almost ridiculous looking.
He noticed more of the bots had shown up, in his opinion this Doom guy had a serious ego seeing how the robots looked exactly like him. But they just didn’t stop coming. He pocketed the stick, looking a bit uncertain. Not that he didn’t want to rush into help just the fact they were so clearly outnumbered. He looked down at his enlarging disk. It would give them an easy escape and at least get rid of the small army of robots, but, they still hadn’t completely gotten rid of the kinks and he would totally risk passing out.
“Captain,” he started, coming to Steve’s side to help with the onslaught. “I know, uh retreating is not usually seen as the most heroic.” he started, flicking a paper clip and throwing disk to enlarge it, having it smash against a few robots. “But, we really need to get this stuff back to Stark. So, maybe we should go. I have a feeling we overstayed our welcome.”
