Okay, but like Amethyst is a "sword & sorcery" story comic and character, why are they trying to retcon the magic from Amethyst?
"It's not magic. It's Gem-based science." Can it not be both? Is that no longer an option, that Gemworld could have both Magic and Science? The Amazons had both magic and science for decades.
First the above line in YOUNG JUSTICE and now Amy telling her parents that magic is fake in the new Amethyst prequel.
