Fleur and Cera have been waiting in the Queen's chambers with their brother Cerinthus, the drone who is to be Mellifera's first consort. At first sight it is clear to all of the siblings that their Queen is pleased.

Historically, kitchens are likely to be detached from the main home whenever climate allows for it. Kitchens catch fire, and detaching them from your house is the best way to protect it. Hot climates demand it as well, because of the added heat that an attached kitchen will bring to a home.
