Already having gone back to his scout uniform, he’s currently busy cleaning up the last few things in Darius’ office and making sure everything is ready for his return. There’s no work to do on the desk as Steve has finished everything both to help his best friend come back to work fresh and to cope with the news from yesterday. It’s still a lot to process. Philip and Eber are the only ones who know right now.

So now he’s cleaning and organizing things as he waits for his bestie.

Howell has just started thinking about what to make for dinner when he’s pulled into the slow dance. In all honesty, he doesn’t mind it one bit. Just rests a very relaxed hand on one of Darius’ shoulders and laces the fingers of his other hand with his. These two being very affectionate and hopeless romantics is far from rare and not at all secret-- not that they even try to hide it. A lot of cuddling in the break room, many kisses given in the shared office, the petnames. . .

Warmth and love is visible in his eyes and smile as he looks up at his boyfriend. God, he still needs to get used to being the short one. Back in the 1600s, he was taller than all three of his partners. Not that much taller-- but still.

A hum leaves his lips. “I see someone is feeling romantic~”

@amethyst-slime-king​: There's a knock on Noel's bedroom door. But if he opens it, he'll find no one there. On the ground, there's a big, beautiful flower bud (about 8 inches) it's not attached to any plant, and there's a little purple ribbon tied around it, keeping it closed.

    He’s a little annoyed to find no one there upon answering his door. Seriously? Isn’t everyone here a little too old for ‘ding dong ditch’? A sigh, and Noel goes to close his door when his eyes travel down and he sees the flower bud. It’s so completely unexpected that he freezes and stares for a bit. With the ribbon, it looks like a gift...but who could have left it for him?

    The Grimwalker looks up and down the halls to check if anyone is lingering, but nothing. Someone really just dropped off a flower, knocked, and split. It’s so out of left field that Noel considers that this might be a prank; or something more harmful, and starts to close his door again. He stops, sighs, and scoops up the flower before finally closing it with a soft click.

    “If this is an assassination attempt, it’s one of the more unique ones for sure.” He mutters to himself while setting the flower down on his desk. Some valuable books about wild magic are transferred to his bed and quills placed back in their proper holder. Noel reaches for the ribbon, thinks better, and finishes clearing his desk of everything, which takes a while. But he’s not about to lose anything he’s worked on to acid spit or whatever.

    This is the clearest he’s seen his desk in ages and takes a deep breath to hold it. No more hesitating, just get it over and done with. A hand reaches out and tugs on the ribbon until it falls off the flower, and he takes three big steps back to put distance between himself and the weird flower.

His posture lax, but elegant as he leaned against the wall, looking from his nails, to the smaller witch before him, expression soft.

"Might I have a quick word dear? Off record, witch to witch."

“Hm?” Oh, well, things sure are a bit odd lately, aren’t they? More and more important witches wanting to talk to him. . . Just a relaxed guy who is definitely capable of more than most think but chooses to do the bare minimum. . . What’s the strangest part of all of this is that everything is so casual. No seriousness from the Emperor and now Coven Head Darius seems to want to have a conversation like that with him too? Is something going on that he isn’t aware of?

The witch nods, as he decides to just go along with it, and gives a smile.

“Of course! What do you want to talk about, sir?”
