Bluespotted Ribbontail Ray- Taeniura lymma

I haven’t been so excited about a new crochet design in ages! I’m in love with this cutie, although it took ages to get the shape and tail length right. Planning a trip to go scuba diving in Indonesia before graduate school, so I have been watching documentaries about the sea creatures there. This beautiful ray is one of them and I knew I had to crochet one! They range in color from beige to yellow to brownish green, so I’m going to make a beige one as well. 

After the holidays I’ll make an Etsy listing for this little friend!

Goniobranchus splendidus (Splendid Nudibranch)

This splendid little crochet sea slug plush is now available in my shop!  

I took the background photo while scuba diving near Port Angeles, Washington :) Perfect for photoshopping some crochet nudibranchs into!

Meet the juvenile dusky batfish, Platax pinnatus! This was a custom order but I loved how it turned out so much I made a listing for it in my Etsy shop. 

This tropical fish is super cool because it completely changes shape and color as an adult- it becomes silver striped with yellow accents has a totally different shape as well. So crazy!

These are some of the crochet animals I sent to the Resobox World Amigurumi Exhibit in New York! I’m so happy to be a participating artist, but it made me really sad to send away most of my inventory. A good excuse to crochet a lot in the coming months, though!
