Although I would typically wear a smaller brimmed , “ fedora” type hat like those worn by Mennonites , I wear a hat with a four-inch brim as worn by conservative Swartzentruber Amish. I have had occurrences of basal cell carcinoma and Mohs surgery on my nose, thus needing optimum protection from UV rays from sunlight.
