I had a few volunteer cherry tomato plants pop up this season. I let them go and they have been absolute troopers pumping out little fruits for weeks.

The Amish Paste and many of the Pink Brandywines have ended up in the freezer for future use.

I pick my tomatoes at early blush stage and ripen them inside.

Updated the string trellis to EMT after borrowing the correct size tubing bender from a friend. This one is about 13 feet long and we planted sugar snap peas, a variety of beans from Rancho Gordo, and two types of tomatoes.

To remember what was planted where, I made sure to take photos with the tape measure along the line under the trellis. Whenever we get a new roll for the label maker, we will label the tubing above the plant.

It was a great day to be outside, and the bearded irises are blooming! The pavers are a new addition as well and a big help to reach more area without having to step on the soil. I did also make sure to mark where each area of seeds were planted so I know where to water until germination.

It's now that time of the season.....

Varieties: Pink Brandywine, Amish Paste, Cherry.

I bring mine in once they start to blush so that birds don't get to them first. They ripen up within a few days.

Had to wait for the sun to stop nuking us but i've finally transferred the tomato and basil to the garden.

Pink Brandywine are known as a ‘potato leaf’ variety due to their leaf shape being more like that of a potato plant. You can already see this difference when you compare the them to the Amish Paste on the left.

It’s my first time growing Pink Brandywine so I’m very excited to see how these massive plants go for me!
