Design Process: Amity
Again, just like Luz , Gus and Willow, Amity was design in the previous style first, and later was adjusted. However, thankfully Luz is the only one that I lost the concepts of.
Here is the moodboard I made for her on Milanote. For her, I wanted her to be more masculine, as she is always portrayed as feminine in the show, hence I believed a change of pace would be nice. However I was unsure exactly how to go about it.
I did the colours on one of them to show an example of possible colours. She said she loved them, and asked just for a pattern on either the overalls or sweater.
I decided the overalls would be a better place, not only to match with Luz' design, but to not clutter the upper part of the design too much.
Amity was pretty easy to adjust her colours and style. I didn't want to cover all of the overalls in the pattern to avoid clutter.
Talisman was very happy with Amity.
The main thing I wish I did differently was change the shape of the un-dyed part of her hair, but that is a small issue so it won't cause a problem.
