The older I get, the more I understand why mothers and daughters clash but still have such a strong, unique bond. It's because they're more alike than they'd both want to admit sometimes.

I won't settle for being last in priority or someone who you talk to out of convenience or even someone you talk to because you feel like you have to. If I'm not someone you genuinely want in your life, I'm leaving.
What's hard to understand about "the little things?" I'm genuinely curious.
If you say you're going to do something for me, especially something that requires being consistent, I'm going to expect it. You gave me your word and I expect you to honor your word. Doing something once doesn't mean much to me. Honoring your word with consistency and effort does.
Mom: Do you have plans today?
Me: Not that I-
Mom: OH THATS RIGHT! Your boyfriend's not here. He's in SoCal so you don't have plans.
Me:.....I have other friends ):
A few weeks ago my boyfriend had a bad dream where I left him for Noah Centineo. Last night I had a very interesting dream with Noah in it. What is going on 😂
I mentioned to some friends that I wanted to eat healthier. They instantly asked me why and said, "you don't even need to lose weight." Now, I'm not dissatisfied with how I look and I know that I'm not overweight. I'm aware that I'm on the petite side. However, me wanting to eat better has nothing to do with losing weight. I want to feel healthier. Thats it. I want to ensure that my body feels and stays healthy. Eating healthier has somehow become stigmatized with losing weight. Someone wanting to eat better is suddenly assumed to be dissatisfied with how they look. It isn't always about weight and body image. It's about making sure your body has the nutrients it needs to energize you throughout the day. Making healthier choices also prevents you from developing any health complications later on in life. If some weight happens to come off, fine. But that's not my priority. I'm making healthier choices for my own health; not for the sake of others and their opinions.
After reading all the "I want/need a Peter Kavinsky" tweets and watching (and falling in love with) To All the Boys I've Loved Before, I started to want a boy who would drive across town to buy me a yogurt drink he thought I liked. Then I remembered that a few weeks before the movie came out, my bf (who lives an hour away) spontaneously drove to my house to bring me food and comfort me because I was whining like a wimp over cramps. Can't believe I have a Peter Kavinsky lol
