"Yeah, apparently I clocked my head pretty hard on the edge of the tank during the bridge stunt. The hospital used that clear surgical glue so it isn't super noticeable, but there's still some scarring, unfortunately. It's not the worst injury I've gotten -- on-set or otherwise, you'd be surprised how often I manage to beat my own ass." There's a faint grunting sound as Akabane fights his jacket off, hanging it on the back of Decima's door: just the same normal action as always (unsure if he should try to find some tactful way of saying the next words, though tact has never been his strong suit), as if there wasn't anything increasingly alarming coming out of his mouth. He rummages in one of the now-dangling jacket's pockets, coming back with a small, light blue notebook (small cartoon animals adorning the cover act as a tell that it's a gift from his daughter). "My brain evidently hit the delete button on the past three months though, so I've been having everyone fill me in and writing it down just in case that never actually comes back. If it doesn't, it doesn't, I can't blame my brain for getting scrambled."
" ...Sosei. " Never a good sign when you flat out use his first name in such a serious tone, especially with the flat way you were glaring at him. " I think calling slight amnesia a delete button's sort of morbid. " You lightly scolded him, but nonetheless, you softly took his jacket from behind your front door, and folded it gently - a habit of yours, you had a set place you kept jackets. ( you wouldn't get mad at him for that, though. he probably genuinely lost that knowledge in the back of his mind right now. all that mattered was he was living and breathing and right in front of you. )
" Well... how do you feel? " You eyed the little notebook in his hand softly, fighting so damn hard to keep a smile at bay. ( you knew his daughter was practically his world, so it was easy to pick up on things relating to her in some way. ) " Did Aguri fill you in on what's been going on recently? You know, to see if it'd jog anything a bit. "
