hey a thing!! I got tagged by westgateoh (who is totally awesome bee tee dubs). the meme is p straightforward: list 15 things that make you happy and then tag *mumble* number of people. look i don't know a lot of people. so i'm basically just tagging amoktimes and rainbowslinkyy bc i'm v familiar with those nerds but like anyone can do the thing.

okay! the thing!

1. MY GODDAUGHTER she is the cutest baby in the world and i am completely unbiased in this opinion and she's going to be one month old this weekend and she's already the best most important thing in my life and i would kill a man to see her smile

2. Starbucks makes me obscenely happy

3. Dancing around my apartment in my underwear to crappy pop music

4. Bacon and Eggs. and SUSHI. AND ICE CREAM. okay i like food in general. and going out for food with friends

5. When my students do amazing things. When they work hard, or write something well, or when they're super cute, or when they really get an important concept

6. My dumb plants steve and clint and phil and natasha and kate, and I'm sorry I'm a bad plant momma :(((

7. Comfy snuggly sweaters and sweatpants and NO BRA

8. Sunshine!! And going for walks outside in the sunshine. Or lying around in the sunshine.

9. Cute dresses, stockings, shoes, and on-point eyeliner

10. Random surprise presents!! Both giving and receiving.

11. The lego video games. and especially playing as MODOK in the Marvel game.

12. Going to the movies, especially with friends, especially if we've seen that movie like 11 times already

13. Going for drinks with my friends, or sitting around (drinking) and playing board games or some shit. Drinking and friends, I guess, is what I'm going for here

14. Reading. Especially reading that I get to do for fun

well tbf i definitely see the shipping potential there, and if i tried hard enough i could probably get into it but -- i just don't -- care enough? idk, maybe some day

oh my gosh it’s always inevitable that i get a jim/bones question yet it never gets any easier but ok lemme try this (warning: i ship jim/bones about 10000000% more in rebootverse so this is gonna be p. reboot-centric:

bones’ “don’t destroy the one named kirk” speech in balance of terror is probably one of my top five moments of the entire series, let alone one of my favorite ship moments. 

"space is disease and danger wrapped in darkness and silence" "well, i hate to break this to you but starfleet operates in space"

literally all of the hangar scene. bonus points for bones’ face when he realizes there’s no way in hell he can leave that little shit behind

jim collapsing after he heard bones’ voice after torpedo scene. you know the one.

my favorite favorite moment is the scene where they first see the enterprise in a shuttle. it’s a cool insight into how far they’ve come with one another - bones at a window seat staring in awe when only three years ago he was hiding in bathrooms.

oh my gosh i like all three ok um so with smoothies my technique is basically “throwing anything vaguely fruity around the house into a blender,” but if i’m at jamba juice or something i like banana-strawberry, anything orange-flavored, pumpkin, blue berry-banana, and i guess anything also mango.

fave fruits: bananas, apples, oranges, blackberries, and pineapple. 

ice cream!!!!: mint chocolate chip, coffee, probably more coffee, cookies and cream, coffee, and coffee and caramel
