When I look into her blue eyes I hear thundering waves, smell the scent of the ocean with flaming, bursting spume.

Looking upon her face gives me a warm feeling, like sitting together with friends and family enjoying a good meal at a pleasant evening under warm lights and citrus trees near the sea.

So this is just as much her scent as parting blue waves of the clear green blue sea with foamy, salty spume.

The freshness of the water and the intoxicating, warm breeze of the sea air:

Here's a snippet of that one! ♥ this fic is now completed and posted (under a different title).

With a sigh, you squeeze your mare’s sides to catch up with Arthur at the lead. The renewed quiet and rhythmic drumming of hooves brings a throbbing in your right shoulder to the forefront of your mind —the pain is white-hot and saps the air from your lungs. No, you think, head drooping, finding something wet and dark sliding down the front of your vest —blood. You’d been shot and hadn’t even taken notice till now. Fingers trembling, you holster the cattleman revolver and pull the neckerchief from ‘round your neck, pressing it against your shoulder. Be fine until we get to camp, you tell yourself, but then you feel warmth trickling down your back too and know it’s a lie. 

Breathing unsteady, you feel your grip on the reins slipping until it becomes too much to hold on and sit upright. John pulls back on the reins of his horse as he watches you fall from the saddle, hitting the ground —hard. “Arthur!” He shouts, sliding out of the saddle and next to you, seeing the blood and new pallor washing over your face. John peels away the neckerchief. “Shit.” It didn’t look good.

Arthur Morgan’s heart stops —it’s nightmare he’s had too often, but this time there’s no waking up. He kneels, pressing the neckerchief back over the wound, knowing they all need to act fast. Stomach-churning, he glances around, teeth grinding. “Rope her horse,” he tells John, voice fading into a strained rasp, “get back to camp quick as you can and tell ‘em get everything ready.” John nods, quickly ponying the speckled mare to Old Boy and climbing back into the saddle —racing ahead.

☕ If you could spend a day with any member of the Van Der Linde gang, who would you choose to spend it with and what would you do?

If I were to spend a day with any member, it’d either be Hosea or Kieran. Hosea reminds me a lot of my grandfather in the way he acts as a nurturing dad/grandpa to Arthur and Jack. It’d be amazing to spend a whole day with him, I think it’d be a lot like having my own grandfather around again. The day would consist of doing chores together and of course playing dominos.

As for Kieran, I don’t care what we do as long as we do it together. You may or may not know about my insane love for Kieran, but believe me, it’s bad lmao. If he wanted to just hang out in camp? Cool by me. Wants to go fishing? Sign me up. As long as that pretty face of his is smiling, I’m all for it.

🍤 A hairstyle you'd love as an option for Arthur?

Maybe something braided, like Charles has in Chapters 5 & 6, or a more modern one where half his head is shaved/close cut and the other side is really long and pretty. Honestly, Arthur can pull of any hairstyle other than bald and clean-shaven.
