This is Satan's Circus of course and it is extremely evil and dangerous, so they need to know what they are getting their selves into and that there is no return before they go.

Amortal

Hoje eu estive com alguém que não morreu. Hoje conheci Gregório, cujo nome constou de róis e arrolamentos dos anos de meu triavô, e cuja pele remanescia em um tom diverso das jovens e diverso das velhas. Esperei ver nele algo diferente. Gregório jantou à minha mesa.

Esperei, sempre, que não morrer nos faria isentos, neutros e profundos. Equilíbrio é um dom, a consciência parece inata.

Esperei ver em Gregório respostas. Ao longo da conversa, pareceu para mim que sua ignorância, suas tendências e suas opiniões haviam sido fermentadas pelos anos. Da mesma forma que um homem velho, Gregório tinha cabeça velha, Gregório havia se tornado uma pessoa ainda mais intolerante, em uma medida que alguns de seus pontos de vista beiravam o insuportável. Trazia um senso moral retrógrado e via com desconfiança tudo que hoje acontecia.

Gregório me fora família, e observou que estes genes do sangue estariam em todo de nós que não morresse por violência ou acidente. Gregório me pediu que tomasse bom cuidado com meu corpo e meus caminhos. Gregório era cristão.

O que sobraria para mim, Sem Deus, no passar dessas eras?

Deus não chegara aqui; ficou pelos tempos de Gregório.

Eu pensei que o tempo trouxesse entendimento, mas não além de nossa vontade nos pode trazer discernimento.

Era minha sina, então, ser o oposto de Gregório; ao lado de “O Sem Deus” poderia me chamar “O Desconstruído”, pois trilharia todos os anos em um dia após o outro de me desfazer e me refazer num continuum em branco.

O que é morrer? O que é não morrer? Meu corpo não será o mesmo - todos os dias boa parte de minhas células morre e se renova. Minha consciência também não será a mesma - a cada segundo minha ideias e concepções se implodem. Descobrir, assim, que não morrer significa morrer todos os dias; sem dor, sem drama, sem novela. Deixarei de existir continuadamente de forma perpétua.

Amortality

( The term amortal will show up frequently on this blog, so I’m just going to define what it means in the context of the settings of this blog. ) 

General

An amortal entity is very similar to an inhabitant of a Pure Land, existing as beings which can be considered as neither alive nor dead. An amortal being is also very similar to an immortal being, and can often be mistaken for one.  Despite this though, an amortal being can still be technically killed, but for most cases this task is extremely difficult and most apparent deaths are not actually so. However, to actually destroy an amortal being is extraordinarily difficult, often requiring compete annihilation of the most utter and complete sense. 

Traits

An amortal shares many of the traits which are common place among practically all forms of immortality, such as:

being ageless

not needing to eat

not needing to drink

not needing to rest

not needing to breathe

However, unlike more than a couple forms of immortality, an amortal does not only not need any of these things and more, but they are completely unaffected by their presence or absence. In a sense, an amortal being is an entity which sustains itself by its mere existence. The absence of any of these factors and others will not affect an amortals’ performance. Transitions from standard atmosphere to the vacuum of space will not affect them and neither would toxins, poisons nor disease. To the perspective of anybody able to sense Qi, an amortal being will be similar to ghost, though a bit stranger. This is mainly due to the fact that an amortal being’s life-force will generally tend to be completely neutral with no affinity towards either positive nor negative life-force, though this is not absolute. Because of this, an amortal being is actually able to visit places which an immortal being cannot, as well as be capable of having offspring with entities of any life-force. Most eldritch beings are amortal, so are some divine and demonic beings.
