Save the date! On Thursday, May 10, a date when Amos could have celebrated 64 years of beauty on earth, under the umbrella of #salonamos, there will be at the Herzliya Cinematheque, a festive screening of "Querelle", a cheeky film on the border of pornographic from the early 80s by director Fassbinder. The film was so outrageous, it would not be shown in Israel. And here is the year 2018 premiere of the masterpiece, from which Amos supposedly was influenced towards the making of "Bar 51".

Born in Romania today in 1954, Amos Guttman would go on to become one of the most singular directors in Israeli cinema. Never feeling fully at home in Israel as a gay man and an immigrant, he was committed to portraying the experiences of society’s marginalized groups, particularly those of sex workers and the LGBTQ+ community.
