I don't want to speculate too much about the psychology of those who send these kinds of messages (and this is Tumblr, after all) but I admit I have a morbid curiosity. How old is this person? Do they think they're right-wing or left? Why do they appear to be arguing with themselves, bringing up random talking points as if in dialogue? Like, not to pathologize but this is not well-adjusted behavior. Normal people, even antizionists, should be able to see Israel mentioned without involuntarily launching into a preprogrammed tirade. And I don't even mean this in the sense of "derangement syndrome" or whatever nonsense people on the internet cook up to invalidate each other: I mean, seriously, I do not think the mindset of someone who sends these kinds of anonymous messages is healthy, and honestly feel more concerned than anything else about this. I've gotten messages of this type from reactionaries of every stripe, on every platform, since I was a child. Most of the time I just find them vaguely amusing. This is just kind of sad though. I often say that the Palestine movement has sections that behave very much like a cult, and I mean, how much more culty and detached from reality does it get than imploring others to "grow a human soul" while also hoping for a nuclear holocaust?
