it has some drawbacks tho x) like it gives you +75 in light sensitivity and needs an additional couple of terraflops of processing power to run smoothly. FREQUENTLY glitches so bad you think reality just took a few sharp steps to the left.

Idk about the other points but the blackface in Tropic Thunder was satirizing privileged, white actors taking POC roles. He's playing a white "method actor" who gets called out by a black character for it in the film. This comment is not meant to defend RDJ as a person, just to give context to what is actually a pretty funny send up of Hollywood and the movie industry.

it’s still blackface tho, and if they wanted to point out just how ridiculous it is they still could have used a black actor (with white face paint or whatever) and avoided being racist in their satire. 

he also did yellowface in another film, very much unironically. 

and even if he doesn’t mean it maliciously it’s still gross.

Er, I thought he was a jackal? Also, isn't the animal-headed form an artistic device chosen to show that the god may appear as human OR jackal, not as a human-jackal hybrid?

and it was common for priests of the time to wear a “hat” as a head of the animal they were worshipping. The animals themselves were treated like embodiment of their deities and mummified, so the priests would fashion “hats” (I can’t brain a better word atm) that would look like the head of said animal. And would probably look something like the artist rendering in the picture. :)
