Whenever my TF muses drag themselves out of burnout hell I usually set them to work on AMOSC instead of any oneshots, but I would very much like to do one showing how they become friends at some point.
AMOSC ask, have you heard the song from the Encanto movie Surface Pressure? It has Star Vibes to it for me, but the Caleb Hyles version also has Hardwire Vibes, lemme know what you think? (Unless it's one of THOSE songs)
I have! I've seen the movie and honestly I think that's one of my favorite songs. And ... I guess I can see Starwish vibes. But yeah definitely Hardwire vibes.
I just had a random thought. In AMOSC (and transformers in general) don’t mechs and femmes have to build frames for their sparkling’s? And if that’s the case what did predacons do? Did they somehow manage to build frames for their young? Any thoughts?
In my AMOSC which is ... admittedly a mess, there are two ways to get frames for sparklings, but the easiest and most common is to build them yes. But for predacons, who never knew how to transform before the Cataclysm, they actually have a reproductive system of sorts! The joining of their sparks creates enough extra energy to form a new "baby" spark, which is then kept in a special chamber next to the spark chamber, while a special subroutine in the femme's frame starts skimming protoform and metals from the femme to start assembling a very small sparkling frame over time.
And yes this did not help the many horror stories cybertronians had of predacons snatching up prey and flying it off to the den to be eaten, metal and all. The femme needs all the material available to both stay strong and also process and create new protoform for the sparkling frame. When the frame is finished, the new spark is sent into the little forging chamber/ "womb" so to speak, inserted into the new frame, and then the frame is released into the world.
Could you give us some backstory on how Jazz and Prowl became best friends? I read your one shot in harmonies’ and I’m curious how they actually became friends? If not that’s fine. P.S. Your stories are literally the best fanfiction I have EVER read!
Sure! I always meant to do a sequel one-shot to that to show how they start to become best friends but forgot and all that.
So iirc the *basic* gist was that Prowl and Jazz start to get along after Jazz "helps" Prowl with that very first case, and then they keep like- bumping into each other when Jazz is there to DJ (and occasionally steal stuff as Meister shhh) until Prowl considers them good acquaintances? Even friends.
Then I yeet a serial killer frame trafficker at him.
Because Cybertronians, unlike humans, are sparks in metal frames, so I could absolutely see there being a really dark part of the underworld that pays good energon and money for other bots to *kill* their fellow Cybertronians in non-damaging ways and then sell the body on the black market to those looking to build literal new identities for themselves.
So anyway one of those kind of terrible bots starts hunting in Praxus and Prowl is on the case and naturally runs into trouble. Big trouble. And then Jazz (possibly as Meister) would get involved because that's *his* favorite detective rival thank you.
...pretty sure I had Prowl realizing Jazz was Meister at some point in that and choosing at the end of the fic to not report him. Because lowkey one of my favorite relationships in fic is the "detective and thief who will go at each other in 100% seriousness while on the job, but off the job/out of mask they're chill and friends". That and Prowl owes Jazz his spark several times over by that point and also very literally. (remember; Prowl was chasing a frame stealing murder bot).
So yeah after some life and death bonding experiences, they start to become friends who occasionally chase each other around for the sake of crime and law. XD
About your AMOSC-verse, in some of your future snippets, it appears to be in the Transformers Prime universe, or some type/form of it. I'm just curious-is it in Prime, or in one of the others or a mixture?
AMOSC is going to be set in a mix of Prime, Movie verse, a sprinkling of Animated, and also another show that is not Transformers but I thought would be interesting to blend into the background. It will mostly follow the Prime plot though, as that is a favorite show of mine (Animated is my #1, but the Prime setting obviously fits with the exile plotline much better).
*sobs quietly* finally finished a new chapter of AMOSC. It needs editing. No idea when I’ll actually have energy to fight the editing war and post it.

Have you heard of Caleb Hyles? Because whenever I think of Hardwire singing, it's his voice i keep thinking of.
I LOVE LISTENING TO CALEB HYLES. Oh gosh now I’ll never be able to hear Hardwire singing in any voice but his that is a glorious mental image yesssssss.
