You seriously expect Asmoreshippers (or literally any shipper ever) to stay Asmoreshippers for their entire lives?? And if not, they were never an Asmoreshipper in the first place??????????????? What about all the content they created? Is it all null and void once they stop actively shipping it?? That’s not how shit works, like- at all.

We’re literally talking about a possible romantic relationship between two fictional children who are half our age, dude, stop being so serious about it.

I bet that, one day, you won’t care about Asmoreshipping any more. You’ll go on with your life, totally forgetting why you even liked the ship in the first place. Or, you’ll look back on the ship fondly, who knows.

I. . .honestly don’t get the logic behind this one. I personally don’t believe any ship within Pokéani is “canon”, so saying something like this is just utter nonsense to me.

And really? Because Asmoreshipping is “canon”, that means any ship that involves Ash’s Pikachu is null and void because Serena has that hypothetical Pikachu he’d totally be with because Ash is with that Pikachu’s trainer?

A Pokémon isn’t just an extension of their trainer. They’ve got their own personalities and minds, my man. Just because Asmoreshipping is “canon”, that doesn’t automatically mean that Pikachu would gain a romantic interest in one of Serena’s Pokémon all of a sudden.

And even if a ship is “canon”, it doesn’t hold any real agency over other ships. All ships are equal.
