Amplificathon is coming up soon (THERE’S LESS THAN 1 WEEK UNTIL #AMP16), and that made me realize: I’ve been hanging around the edges of fandom tumblr for nearly a year now, but I don’t know know many of the podfic people over here.
I want to meet people, and make friends! Who also like podfic! Maybe you record podfic, maybe you listen to podfic, maybe you like writing stuff that later gets podficced, maybe you’re awesome at making themed reclists of podfic.... Whatever your connections to podfic fandom, I’d like to meet you. I’m always looking for new friends. So, TUMBLR PODFIC FRIEND MEME.

What site are you most active on/is your "preferred fannish home"? I’m most vocal on twitter, though I do still use my lj for podfic posting purposes. I try to crosspost everything to the AO3, as well, but crossposting is a pain in the butt. I’m slowly becoming more active on tumblr.

Current main fandom(s): Oh, lordy....this is a long one. I’m super multi-fannish, and with the right inspiration, I can easily get re-excited about fandoms I thought I’d ‘left behind’ years ago, Right now, I’m dedicating most of my fannishness to the sidekicks of the DCU (Young Justice, Teen Titans, Red Hood and the Outlaws....pretty much anything with members of the Batfam), with some MCU and Star Wars thrown in. I’m always up for X-Men, Jupiter Ascending, Leverage, FatF, Stargate: Atlantis, and Buffy.
Other Things to Know About Me: I adore multi-fandom crossovers. I really like playing around with sound effects in my podfics. I’m almost always up to contribute to a multi-voice podfic (though I usually need ~reminding, to finish my parts). I’m the absolute worst at editing multi-voice podfics - did you record something with me? DON’T LEAVE IT IN MY HANDS, YOU MAY NEVER HEAR THE FINISHED PROJECT. I am easily swayed into new fandoms, by way of podfic friends making podfic. I make podfic coverart in PowerPoint. I record with GarageBand. I have never listened to fayjay’s “The Student Prince,” nor have I listenend to kuepo’s “Freedom's Just Another Word for Nothing Left to Lose.”
Anything else? Blanket Permission Statements are DA BOMB. Please, content creators, think about posting some sort of Transformative Works Statement on your profile. I swear, I’m 500% more likely to podfic your fic if you have a readily-visible BP Statement someplace. I may also crow about your awesomeness on twitter, and possibly roll around in your back catalogue like a happy puppy. BLANKET PERMISSION STATEMENTS. DO THE THING.
