By my count, Michael’s name is spoken or sung 26 times throughout the album

David and the Lost Boys take the top spot with 8 Michaels each! Star comes in at a close second with 7 Michaels, and Lucy takes home the bronze with 5!

Unsurprisingly, the song with the most Michaels is Michael, coming in at 5 Michaels [it’s actually tied with Hurt A Little (Reprise) thanks to the Lost Boys chanting his name]

I love how in this fandom, we have some ship names like Starvid and Parko and whatnot that follow the traditional format of merging the character's names. Starbeam may take a second, but it's pretty straightforward too.

Then we have such slightly more confusing things that would have outsiders looking at us like we're crazy. Yeah, you could say davidmarko but neglected vampire wife is more fun. Oh, and of course 95060 is one of the most popular ships!

Finally there's the stuff that just gets hilarious and polyam and complicated:

I love how it's literally canon Cass would randomly break into Steph's house and Tim's apartment and also the manor before she was adopted and had zero remorse each time. Waking Steph up in the middle of the night while sitting on her bed. Eating Tim's rice krispies and using all his hot water then leaving without even saying hi. Lounging in Bruce's chair and snooping around the manor while he's being investigated for murder. Showing up in a dressing gown at the door to the manor when a social worker tries to investigate Jason Todd's death, offering zero explanation of who she is because technically she had yet to exist at that point. Breaking into the batcave when she needed information and kicking Dick in the face when he tried to stop her. Breaking into the CIA to remove all evidence she exists, cementing her status as an urban legend. The chances of Cassandra Wayne appearing randomly in your house are low

One of my favourite Leverage tropes is when some goons are threatening a member of the team and Eliot just comes out of nowhere from off screen or around a corner, sometimes even when he wasn't anywhere nearby in the previous scene, as if he was summoned like a pokemon coming out of a pokeball. OKAY to satisfy my own curiosity, after having just seen a series of gifs from the bridge sequence, on here, I tracked down the passage from the making-of book, Lost in the Shadows, where Kiefer discusses it, specifically.

The way it’s portrayed in Kiefer’s full quote, whether they ever filmed David catching Michael or not, it seems clear he’s just talking about the canon-existing film scenes. Not anything only in the screenplay and/or novelization.

It’s interesting that Kiefer feels this strongly just about what we DO see. But think about it. Michael casually asking, “What’s goin on?” The light and flirty banter.

David putting his arm around Michael’s shoulders. Michael (foolishly) trusting David enough to hang from the bridge, even while believing he might get seriously hurt, or worse.

David sensuously descending into the fog/clouds, soundlessly, and Michael crying out for him.

Not “Help! Anybody!”

Yes, they were probably in a remote area.

But he doesn’t want ANYBODY.

He wants David. And he wants David to be okay.

Just my two cents.
