Curious what brush settings you use for this?

Hello~! I use Adobe Photoshop CS6, for painting this I used one of the brushes from this pack:

(it looks vaguely like a triangle)

When I use the Smudge tool I choose something that’s fairly smooth, but the important bit for that is that you go into Brush Options and turn on Scattering, as well as keep the strength very low, no higher than 5%, otherwise it just looks like a hot mess ;p If you use Sai or something else I’m afraid I can’t help as I don’t use it ^^; but if you found something that is mostly smooth and has a hard edge that would probably work the same. For this process you essentially want a smooth brush, both hard and smooth edges on your flames, and using mostly colors to blend (: Thank you and good luck! <3

Do you run any side blogs? Why did you make them? -Nope, no side blogs for me.  I want to make an ask account sometime though.

Favourite quote and why? - "Only two things are infinite- the universe and human stupidity", Albert Einstein.  Why I like it? Its 100% true.

Which language do you wish was your primary language? -Simlish 

A fandom that your soul belongs to although it’s a small fandom? -I honestly don't know.  I'm a part of many big fandoms, and the other fandoms, I am unsure of the size.

Favourite Unpopular ship (that isn’t a Crack Paring). - I don't know if its unpopular or not, but SwisAus? I can never find much fanart, but that isn't always a good indicator.

If you could give one tip to a person that is to become your current occupation (including student), what would it be? -I'm a high school student and a librarian, so study, and read. A lot.

Can you twirl things with your fingers? -Like pencils? Yeah, I do that when i'm bored.

What are your favourite style/design/model of earbuds to use? -The ones that have the rubber caps that you stick in your ear.  AKA, the kind that I always seem to break.

Name a time when you were successful and felt proud of yourself. -Getting accepted into College
