So last night I did some late night musing and decided to attempt to draw today on paper. While I'm not a fan of this cream colored paper, I was able to draw \o/! Granted I had to take a fair number of breaks (& I am very sore cause of the fine motor movements that are involved in drawing), but heck, I'll take it :D!
It's going to take a while to build my drawing arm back up and knock off all the rust, but I'm fine with that cause baby steps & all that since I'm only a month out from surgery. Also Amuse is THRILLED to be drawn cause it's been a while since I drew my muse
Against my better judgement, I 'attempted' to even just sketch digitally, and I barely finished even a rough sketch before I had to stop. Yeah, still not able to draw digitally without hurting my shoulder further. So I guess we'll see how I'm doing after the shot on the 25th. Btw this is not the best sketch of Amuse, BUT you can see the hairstyle she settled on out of all of the ones I penciled out (I actually have a full body sketch I did of her with it, I just need to scan it in to share it)
So Amuse is going through a bit of a redesign when it comes to her hair; namely it’s time for a little change. Did 3 sheets of different styles, and the 3 grouped together are the ones that I’m more drawn to over the rest. Not sure which one she wants, but will reveal that later!
Decided to use Amuse as a test subject to see how my shoulder handles drawing on paper, and I think I can handle it for now so long as I don't push it.
Long story short for those who don't know, I've been dealing with shoulder pain since January, and I'm waiting on an MRI to see what is wrong, which explains why I haven't been posting much art as of late (shoulder injection last month didn't exactly help).
Going to use these inked doodles and set up a sheet of heads to redesign her hairstyle on paper with pencil.
Also she is SUCH a little gremlin in that second sketch XD (pretty much she's been mad at me for not drawing her in forever, and now she's getting a LOT of attention since I'm stuck with paper for the time being)
Just sharing some oldies but goodies for mermay. Amuse as a Angler MerEel (which I should really redraw), and some Muries (MerImps and MerImplings) that I have made in the past
Pretty much this is what my brain feels like at the moment (being held hostage by Amuse).
Long story short, moving got pushed back by a month, so my brain has been in a holding pattern (I was in packing/move mode), and trying to plead with my muse to let me do art >.>
#AmusetheMuse has a final message for 2020; and that is it can LEAVE and take all of the levels of Jumanji with it >:E.
Also Amuse is rather grumpy that I haven't drawn her much this year, and hopefully I can rectify that in 2021 (hoping for a positive year this time around).
