Million - Allen Stone
Hello Hello,
It's been a minute since I've done an actual post.
I'll make this one quick.
Allen stone is back at it again. with pure vibes as usual.
take this in. i'm sure you'll be hearing a lot more from this guy soon (mainstream wise) since he's apparently signed now.
Can't wait for him to perform in toronto one day.
G'day, xo
You – Janelle Monae
Off her 2003 album Audition, the fact that this was released when I was 13 is a little upsetting because it now makes me wonder what kind of garbage I was stuck listening to then while there was stuff like this being released. *sigh*
Came across this song yesterday and it def called for a blog post. Can’t believe I’ve been sleeping on mz monae.I have a few of her tracks which are all awesome but nothing on this type of vibe. But based on what I've heard today...I’ll def be on a Janelle monae binge
for the next few days & I’ll update you guys on more great finds. I wouldn’t mind suggestions either, you know…just in case you wanted to get rid of the cobwebs in my ask box
“Why can't we talk on the phone again? Why can't we go back to how things used to be?”
PS her recent covergirl photos look absolutely GORGE! nuh tru?
Although this was published 2 months ago, I finally found time to read the GQ article on D’angelo’s comeback. Take a look and you will not be disappointed. It’s extremely well written and gives you a taste of what took place during his 7000 year hiatus.
One of the parts that stuck out the most for me was a quote by Chris Rock saying “You dare you just be excellent?” *snaps fingers* (that was deep)
Definitely a wake up call for me, it shows that there is no such things as good enough, not even for the greats!
xo
When are we going to name racism as racism and why is it do hard to do so?
