She can't look scary if she's eating a snack and a drink! The specter attempts to wolf down her items but just ends up making herself cough and choke slightly. So, here she is doubling over and hacking. So much for making a good frightening impression...

They've seen each other in the hallways, Kayn knows, but they've never spoken. He's not big on talking to people in general, doesn't know if the guy even knows who he is, but he knows how thin the walls are here, and knows how loud that damn dog was the day before. It wasn't Kayn's choice to bring the guy home, but it looks like it's his responsibility now. "Hey." As soon as the word is out of his mouth, Kayn grimaces, like he hates the sound. "Sorry. About the noise yesterday."

"Kazuma-sama... you must feel so relieved."

Though she doesn't know Ryunosuke Naruhodo personally, Susato is well aware that he's someone Kazuma considers a close friend. A best friend, even - perhaps something like what Rei is to her. He'd been beside himself with anger when Naruhodo had first been arrested, and he'd put everything on the line to fight for him - even willing to risk the study tour that meant so much to him.

Now, Naruhodo is a free man, and the study tour is free to go forward as planned. ...The devotion that Kazuma showed to his friend, though, isn't something Susato will forget anytime soon. One day, Susato hopes that she'll be able to stand by his side in the courtroom and help him, just like she's always believed she'll do.

"I was surprised that Naruhodo-san was so determined to represent himself, though. I suppose he is just as stubborn as you've always said."

"Wot's the big deal, then?"

With stubbornly crossed arms and while pointedly refusing to meet Kazuma's eyes, Gina huffs - her chin raised a little as she turns her head firmly away. There couldn't be a clearer example of a girl who couldn't care less... is how she was hoping to come across, but even if it's subtle, there's a hint of anxiety in her words; in the way her gestures are a little too stiff, too exaggerated.

What may be less obvious is the sting of disappointment Gina feels in the same moment, directed entirely at herself. She hates the uncomfortable feeling that's been dwelling in her gut more than anything, but she can't seem to get rid of it... nor does she have any clue what she should be doing, either. Great, is all she can think, sarcastically - she's managed to fail at this now, too.

"Just 'cos you don't like it don't mean yer not imagining things! I ain't acting any different, alright!?"
