You had been keeping a secret for a while now, you had seen an ad in the paper about a house a few weeks ago but it wasn't just any old house, it was Bucky's old home.

You decided to buy it as a surprise for Bucky while he was away on a mission.

You pulled up outside the house and pulled the keys out of your pocket, Bucky sat there in silence for a second before speaking.

“I used to live here” he looked at you with sadness in his eyes.

“I know” you smiled.

You both got out of the car and made your way towards the old brown door, you unlocked it and stepped inside, everything was covered with old sheets that were covered in dust.

“Y/N may i ask why we are here?” Bucky spoke.

You stood there in silence for a second before answering.

“I saw an ad in the paper a few weeks ago, it was an ad for a home that was up for sale” you paused to look at Bucky, he was staring at you trying to figure out what you were talking about.

“The house you are standing in right now is yours again if you want it” you smiled.

“Wh...what are you talking about?” 

“Buck i bought this house for you a few weeks ago while you were away on a mission, I couldn't let them sell it to some stranger, everything you ever owned is in this house” 

You walked over to an old table and pulled the cloth off, the cloud of dust that filled the air send you into an asthma attack, Bucky rummaged around your bag to find your inhaler, handing it to you so you could breathe again.

Bucky walked around looking at everything, memories flash through is mind as he looks at each thing.

“I can't believe I'm back here, I thought I would never see this place again” 

“Well now it's all yours ...again” you laughed.

“Why did you buy it? I know its my home but why?” Bucky asked.

“Bucky, i love you more than anything, Loving you is as easy as breathing” Bucky cut you off before you could continue.

“But you’re asthmatic.” Bucky smirked

“Your point?” 

Bucky laughed at the face you pulled as you spoke, he motions for you to continue talking.

“As I was saying, i love you and i would do anything to see you happy again” 

Bucky couldn't wipe the smile off his face as he continued to take the sheets off his old furniture, you both spent the rest of the day going through everything and letting Bucky tell you the story behind everything, you saw how happy he was when he found an old picture of him and Steve in a box, this was the bucky you wanted to keep around for a while.
