honestly that's how i felt when someone recently unfollowed me because i was *friends* with someone they disagreed with, despite the fact that i'm a neutral party.

I understand. I just hated seeing their posts on my dash when they never cared about johnlock, and I didn't want to uf them because i usually like their posts but I guess that mutual-follow-""friendship"" thing was in decline the minute that person wrote a hate post on the way people coloured their gifs just after i posted a gif with that specific colouring they hate haha.

Favorite tropes vs. Nope tropes

I was tagged by junejuly15. I'm sure I'll miss some, but ... here's a start.

(I've tagged a few people on this, inviting them to play along. Even if you weren't tagged, feel free to join the fun. Then tag some people of your own!)

Favorite tropes:      Happy endings. That may not technically be a trope. But I can survive a lot of angst -- a lot! -- as long as I know a happy ending is in the offing.      First kisses/first times. Whether it's my OTP getting together for the first time or one part of my OTP's first time ever. Even better if it's a bit awkward, as firsts tend to be, but still lovely enough to inspire them to keep trying -- immediately!      Fluff and crack: If it makes me smile or laugh (intentionally), it's all good, no matter how outrageous it gets.      Anything that's well-written. I used to have a few limits on what I'd read involving my OTP. Not many, but a few. Now, I've pretty well stopped even citing those. Because the right writer and the right story can crumble my few flimsy defenses and have me wanting more.

Nope tropes:      Mpreg. I used to just say nope to all omegaverse. Got past that. But mpreg still remains a nope.      Incest. I have been known to beg certain writers not to write incest, because I would read it if they wrote it. (That said, I have read a few. I don't seek it out, but I try to trust my favorite writers. One, in particular, I will admit, was really rather lovely.)      Real-person fic. I don't mind little bits of fluff that insert fans into stories involving their favorite characters. I am less sold on fic that purports to tell stories involving the actors who portray those characters. Here, again, I have read a few such stories -- primarily involving an actor interacting with the character he portrays. But I prefer to keep my characters and their actors firmly separated. They may share physical similarities, but they are not the same person.      Most threesomes. I am OTP monogamous. I believe in my OTP so strongly that I don't see either of them ever wanting/needing anyone else. I also see both of them as being rather possessive/jealous/protective, and I need a very good reason to believe either of them would allow anyone else to touch before I can find an OT3 believable. A few have weakened my defenses, but not many.

If you could be a fictional character for a day, who would you be? i wouldnt want to be in game of thrones or the hunger games because id be dead in a second, but id probably wanna be one of the doctor's companions from doctor who even though they dont really have a good survival rate
