Fanfiction Writers Appreciation Day

I am a day late and just do not have the time to do this proper justice (that and trying to type on a mobile phone). But I really wanted to give a shout out to all the writers of the many awesome stories I have read. @comehitherashes I have no fancy words to convey how much I enjoy your writing. The absolute joy that were your seasonal writing challenges. Your ficlets that you have written for my prompts. And the absolute nonsense that is the DFS universe (not to be mistaken for the fabulous TDFS) @sirlancelotthebrave Partner in crime with ComeHitherAshes in the seasonal challenges. Each of which I go back to on numerous occasions when I need a bit of a pick me up. @uenaina Only really got three words I can say. The Sweetest Thing!!! I don't even know where to start with my thoughts on this series, I have totally got somehow invested in fictional characters lives, wanting to see what happens next. @stardust-009 You wrote a story from one of my Kink Meme prompts, I will be forever grateful and chuffed. "Being Human" was awesome and your current endeavour has got me hooked. @tehriz Where do I start. I mean really, where do I start. Let's just say that I enjoy your writing immensely and have already said to you before every time I hear Kelly Clarkston's "My Life Would Suck Without You" I imagine that karaoke scene from uno with Aramis & Ninon. It still does and forever will. @projectinsanitywriting You keep posting snippets of stuff and it all sounds awesome, I am totally intrigued by it all. I mean "Blue Sky, Yellow Sun", how am I supposed to live with just that small glimpse. @moppetcakes "The Stars Incline but do not Compel" was the very first story I bookmarked on AO3, just so you know. "Due Punishment" is a story that I regularly go back to time and time again. There is too many more to mention, lest not forget your current adventure. @amynion Even though you DID THE THING I still have to heap you praise. "Save the Gascon, Save the World" what is not to love about supernatural Musketeers. "Page One" I have no words. @evelynthursday I loved your "Feline Company" story, Athos and Dumas (my heart) also "Assumptions and Ignorance" is an excellent read. Don't even get me started on "Midnight Snuggles" (sigh) To all the writers on AO3 & FF.net who have written something from one on my Kink Meme prompts, and to everyone I have left kudos to, a big Thank You for everything and getting me through some trying times. You guys are the best! BD :-)

1. What is the nearest object to your right? (This will now be your weapon come the zombie apocolypse)

My Hawkeye bobblehead... Does this mean I get Clint Barton for the apocalypse? ‘Cause let me tell you, that would be amazing.

2. Do you have any pets? Tell me about them! Or if you don’t, what pet would you like?

I have a cat and a plethora of foxes and stray cats that make use of my garden (and dinner scraps). My own feline likes to stare at them through the window, and one of the local toms is completely smitten with her - she snubs him (that’s my girl).

3. What was the first album/record/CD/cassette/whatever you brought?

Oof, that’s going back some years. I had All Saints’ Never Ever on cassette, my first digital download was U2′s Vertigo on the old iPod minis!

4. If you made friends with a genie who granted you three wishes, what would they be? (No wishing for more wishes!)

To shapeshift, then I’d go to Canada and Scotland and run with the wolves. Half Life 3 (3 wishes, HL3 confirmed). Free the genie!

5. What was your favourite toy as a child?

My SNES! ;) Cuddly-wise, a pink bunny called (appropriately enough), Bunny.

6. Do you play any instruments? If not, what other talents do you have? (everybody can do something!)

I can play a bit of piano and guitar. I’m hither-thither with sheet music, but I have a knack for remembering notes, finger positioning etc. I think it’s from a lifetime of playing video games - which is where I truly excel!

7. Do you remember your dreams? If so, tell me the strangest. 

Always, and it’s a learned habit - the more you write them down, the more likely you are to remember them. I used to get ‘ill’ dreams; as in, when I had it, I knew I’d be ill within the next few days. It was a bit Indy-esque, a big ball of metal chasing me on the plains with nowhere to hide, but the spine-tingling aspect of it was that sometimes the dream would change and the ball would kind of... hover over a metal spike, brushing it occasionally with the most awful squicky screeching sound. It looked like a massive version of the pencil scribble in that Doctor Who ep. Creepy, right?

8. What is the last film you saw at the cinema? Was it any good?

Jurassic World! Of course, it had dinosaurs and Chris Pratt in, what’s not to love?

9. Tea or coffee? How do you like it? (Not that I’m going to make you one…)

You aren’t? Well, that’s my hopes dashed! In your defence, I’m a bit picky. Breakfast tea, brewed for five minutes, one spoonful of sugar, light dash of milk. Otherwise, rose tea, or a syrup-flavoured latte. Of course, there’s something to be said of a hot chocolate with all the works!

10. If the nearest object to your right is inadequate for fighting zombies with what else around the house could you use? (Don’t worry, you have time to get it, the zombies aren’t at your door just yet)

A few things come to mind, suffice to say they require a case, a licence, and a regular call from the inspection man! xD Mind you, I’ll take Clint and a SHIELD bow any day (and spend my days tangling with a trickster god, and in the nights literally)!
